Pittu Garam was a collaborative work made on a beach in Aarhus, Denmark with artist Roo Dhissou in 2019. The piece explored ideas around cultural gifting and coming together through play.

Following the game we expanded the work into a show at Stryx Gallery, Birmingham, where visitors were invited to play and learn the game with us, along with sharing their own childhood games. Whilst the show was going on we collaborated on a small run hand-bound publication filled with childhood games shared from friends and contributors all around the world. These were published in their native languages with English versions translated on the request of the game sharer. Some appeared as drawings, others as notes, others as essays.

We hope to someday make a second iteration of this book.
