Dog Sledge (2020) Made in Collaboration with Barney Albus Hubble, Old English Beearded Collie.
Installed in Highbury Park, Birmingham for other dogs to drink from and bathe in as part of OFF-SITE scultpure trail hosted by CheapCheap Gallery.
In 2015 I found myself surrounded by an abundance of Barney’s various balls. To make sense of the chaos, I created a set of rules, the Dog (Barney) a half Old English half Bearded Collie would act as the agent in the situation. His will would determine where the balls would lie on the garden. Through play the constellations evolved and in this situation he created a coherent set of star constellations creating order out of chaos.
From this I was able to map the following constellations:
Fornax
Orion
Ursa Major
Aquila
